Technology

We believe in continuing education, keeping up to date on dental advancements, and investing in the latest technological innovations. Our in-office technology gives us fast and accurate results.

Intraoral cameras

Only the size of a pen, these little cameras do a big job! The dentist is able to move the camera wherever needed inside the mouth, and zoom in on anything needing a closer look. The camera sends its high-quality images to the computer, where we can examine the teeth, tissues, and gums in high detail. This tool is invaluable for both diagnosis and as a treatment planning aid.

Digital X-rays

Remember sitting in the dentist’s chair, trying to hold the bite-wing film in your mouth? Not anymore! Digital x-rays use a small sensor to take pictures of your mouth, which are then transferred to the computer for more detailed viewing. Comfortable and fast, digital x-rays are convenient and expose you to 90% less radiation than the old form of x-rays.

Panoramic X-rays

Thanks to panoramic x-rays, we no longer have to take multiple images to try to put together an entire picture of your mouth. The panoramic x-ray turns all around your head to get an entire image of the mouth and jaws in one shot. Ready in seconds, the panoramic x-ray is an invaluable tool for diagnosis and treatment, especially for orthodontic patients.

Biolase Waterlase Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry is an exciting innovation in dentistry. Efficient and near-painless, high-powered laser-energized water replaces the traditional dentist’s drill, making any treatment that requires drilling faster and more comfortable. Gentle, quiet, and precise, the Waterlase is so effective that some procedures can take place without anaesthetic. No need to be anxious or scared of your dental treatment with this option!

Sleep Screening Machines

Obstructive sleep apnea affects millions of people, and a high percentage of those people go undiagnosed. If you snore, have trouble sleeping, and are excessively tired during the day, you could have sleep apnea. Many people with sleep apnea can be treated with dental appliances, so we offer sleep screening for those patients who may be at risk. A sleep screening study is done at home with a machine that measures your breathing and how many times it’s obstructed throughout the night. Most people find the machines unobtrusive and results can be gathered in just one night. If sleep apnea is diagnosed, we will work on a treatment plan that’s right for you.

By investing in technological advancements like these, we are also investing in your comfort and convenience, and getting the best results possible from each and every visit.
